Juliya Ziskina

I am a freelance wedding, portrait (human and pets), nightlife, and travel photographer based in Brooklyn, NY. I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, raised in the Bronx, and lived in Seattle, WA for several years.

I have a passion for soulful, evocative imagery. I strive to document moments in time and to capture the authentic essence of a person or place. I love light and color and how they can change from the mundane to the ethereal. I’m always searching for something “more” everywhere I look.

I've worked with a variety of mediums and projects, including:

  • Film and digital photography

  • Digital painting & illustration (Photoshop, Illustrator, ProCreate, OpenCanvas)

  • Traditional painting & drawing (watercolor, oil, gauche, pencil, charcoal)

  • Coffee painting (Starbucks instant coffee)

  • Commercial and non-profit mural painting

I experiment with mediums, genres, light, and color. Everything I do is for the love of it. Let's collaborate.
